Ditch Lining
The Retem system combines the Retem 3D steel grid with ready mix concrete.
A team of 4 non skilled workers is required.
No heavy machinery required.
The 3D grid is a three-dimensional web, made of galvanized steel without welding.
Preparation
The site Preparation is Similar to any other alternative. The 3D grid can take the shape of any ditch.
Light duty plastic sheets are placed to prevent moisture being pulled from the concrete and improve curing
Deployment
The 3D steel sheets are four foot by seven foot
Light enough to carry by hand.
The steel grid is your formwork.
Overlapping
4’’ in the longitudinal direction
1 corrugation in the transverse direction
Anchor should be put in each corner of the steel sheet.
Anchoring
No.3 rebar is used as anchors and supplied as part of the system
Casting
Ready Mix - 3000 psi with 5’’ slump
Save time and effort with an optional pump.
8 cubic yards can easily be pumped in 15 minutes
Finishing
Level the concrete with simple rakes and shovels and then roughen the surface using a garden rake.
No costly smooth finishing required
Experienced crews should be able to place 5,000 square feet of The RETEM System in one day
